Hebrews 4:9-10 (NKJV)
"There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. 10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His." Sugar boogs!!!!! I hope all of my lovely ladies (and men if you follow this blog :) are having an amazing Christmas break! Here are a do's and don't list I have accumulated over the now several years I have attend college that I apply to my own life for maximum break enjoyment. 1. #treatyoself It is called a break for a reason!!!!! Indulge in some healthy self care that helps you decompress and de-stress from school life. I personally love to indulge in the 2 for $5 face masks you can find at Walmart and some bomb aroma therapy (via my mini diffuser and or candles w/essential oils) 2. #businessbeforepleasure Don't turn your break into another reason to stress. Leave that GPA and sucky grades behind.Make a practical plan to help you do better in the future with an adviser BEFORE you go on break so that you don't have to think about planning a meeting with them when you return. 3. #itsyourbreakyoucancryifyouwantto Lovelies, by the governments standards y'all are grown, so you can literally do whatever you want. I've had breaks where I've simply opted to not come back to CT and enjoy some me time or I flew back at the drop of a dime as soon as my last class ended. IT'S YOUR BREAK! It can be as exciting or as carefree as you want it to be. My suggestion: make it a priority to enjoy your time in the now of the vacation rather than stress about what's coming up in the next semester. I know it's easier said than done, but I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT! :) Thanks for reading lovelies! Peace & Blessings <3 Nándi

Matthew 4:4 (NKJV)
"But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”" This semester baby girl had to step back and take a huge break from blogging. I needed to focus on myself and realize that that also means relying heavily on my spiritual time. If it had not been for my daily devotional times with the Lord I would've dropped out of graduate school a long time ago. It was the times that I was ready to quit that God's word was my strength to keep going. So lovelies, with that being said, make God's word your daily bread and no doubt God will help when you feel like quitting or giving up. Thanks for reading lovelies! Peace & Blessings, <3 Nándi |
