It's summa, summa, summa time sugar boogz and let me tell you, it will fly by if you let it. So don't be like me these past years and not enjoy it to the fullest.
But DO save for the upcoming semester. Whether it be for a new fall/winter wardrobe or books for the new school year make sure that you are being smart with your summer finances. Here are some tips and tricks I have learned from people around me regarding money. 1. Leave That Debit/Credit Card At Home. Monday-Friday leave your debit card at home and only use an allotted amount of money that you have withdrawn from the ATM for everyday expenses like lunch, minor grocery store trips etc. until your next paycheck (Saturday & Sunday use your debit/credit card at your leisure RESPONSIBLY.) 2. EAT AT HOME! I had to write that in all caps mostly for myself because I have a hard time with this one the most but baby loves when I see that money in my account after eating at my house for several times a week I am ecstatic. part 2a. (If you are an avid fan of food like moi you will need someone to talk you off the ledge whenever you are enticed to go out a grab a bite to eat instead of cooking at your crib. For me, that person is my sister. She will shut that nonsense down in a hot second and I'm grateful for that.) 3. Write Out A Budget & Plan Accordingly What I do now is dictate which checks I have coming in to the different needs and wants list that I have complied. I usually push my wants off until my later checks and make sure I leave the checks I have coming in sooner to take care of the bills and needs that I have right away. Please feel free to share tips below and or try some of the tips I have listed above and let me know how your budget has turned itself around. Thanks for reading lovelies! Peace & Blessings, <3 Nándi
